How it works

Connected Mind® runs on a tablet and can be administered to patients while they are waiting to be seen. It screens for 6 mental health conditions from an 8 question screening. If a condition isn't ruled out, it uses its intelligent logic engine to continue to ask questions until a full assessment has been completed, or it has ruled out each condition.

When the patient is finished, the results are scored and formatted and you are given a detailed report so you can make an informed decision regarding referral or treatment.

Not just for Behavioral Health Specialists

There are more mental health conditions than just depression that affect a patient's physical health. Anxiety, somatic symptom disorder, and substance use disorder are examples. To screen for all of these mental health conditions using standard paper instruments would take significant time, and be unnecessary in 3 out of 4 patients.

Connected Mind® was designed to quickly rule out the 6 mental health conditions that most affect physical medicine, and administer assessments to only those that indicate the need. It eliminates the guess work on which condition to screen or assess.

Connected Mind® runs on a tablet in the waiting room, making it realistic to run on patients while they wait for their encounter, ensuring patients don't slip through the cracks. Studies also show that patients are more likely to be honest with a tablet, such as an iPad, when it relates to sensitive information such as mental health.

Better Patient Care

1 in 4 adults suffer from a mental health condition. Very often those conditions affect a patient's physical health. Often times patients either don't know they have a mental health condition, or they are uncomfortable or afraid to share that information with their provider. As an example; studies show that “69% of patients diagnosed with depression presented with only physical symptoms".
